The Challenge
Miller Electric won several contracts with clients spread across the United States. With hundreds of locations nationwide, Miller was faced with the challenge of executing multiple site walks simultaneously to meet aggressive deadlines. Miller needed to assign work to both internal and external reps to gather info and provide equipment installation estimates.
The Solution
Condoit worked with Miller Electric to standardize data collection and streamline the process by using a mobile app in the field. Using a custom Miller Site Walk form, reps used Condoit on their mobile device to:
- take photos of existing equipment and the job site
- plan the location of each piece of equipment with a Google map and mark-up tool
- analyze load requirements to determine if new equipment would be required
- produce an as-built design and new design options with digital one-line diagrams
- auto-create a bill-of-materials for new equipment needed
- generate an estimate in hours (instead of days or weeks)
