  • Full-time, $200k+ and performance based bonuses

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Engineering to lead and grow a talented team of engineers and drive the technical direction of our product. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality software, ensuring alignment with our business goals and objectives. As the Head of Engineering, you will play a
crucial role in shaping the future of our product and contributing to the success of our customers.

Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Drive team accountability, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality code.

2. Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the technical strategy and align it with our business objectives.
  • Work closely with the product team to create and maintain a roadmap for the evolution of our SaaS product, incorporating industry trends and customer feedback.

3. Product Development

  • Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring the timely release of new features and improvements.
  • Collaborate with product management to translate customer needs into technical requirements and features.

4. Technical Excellence

  • Set and maintain high standards for code quality, architecture, and design, promoting best practices within the engineering team.
  • Condoit is a data-driven organization. This position will hold accountability for agreed-upon KPIs like Sprint Burndown, Code
    Coverage, and Velocity.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential for application in our product.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments, such as product management, sales, and customer support, to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to product development and delivery.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between engineering and other teams.

Qualifications

  • Startup experience, leading a growing engineering team from Series Seed to Series B and beyond.
  • Hands-on ability to write and contribute code as well as experience as a manager.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a SaaS environment and a cross-platform mobile field application.
  • Bonus points for experience in a technology company serving the construction or electrical contracting industry.
  • More bonus points if you have a background in electrical engineering or power systems.
